Contemplative Art Practice

We have hosted Contemplative Art Practice (CAP) retreats for more than seven years, and currently aim for a regular schedule of the second Sunday of each month. These day-long events (9:00 AM to 4:00 PM) include periods of sitting meditation, walking meditation in our forest, and periods of individual (or collaborative) art practice.

The invitation is for each participant to set their own intention and focus for the day and to be responsible for concentrating and nurturing it within the framework provided. We will provide spaces for different concentrations; food, tea, and refreshments; and cultivate a supportive environment.

Our generous landscape offers wooded trails, meadows, a pond and garden, and many big trees to meet. Indoor spaces provide quiet room for writing, a studio for visual arts, and a stage for dance and music practices. Our intent is to provide an uplifting environment for creative inquiry, both personal and collective.

CAP is currently by invitation only.

If you are interested in participating, please contact us.
